Purchasing and Completing a Course
Q: How do I purchase and enroll in a course from within the HOPA Learn catalog?
A: You may access available courses within the course categories on the HOPA Learn home page or within the full course catalog. Click on the course title to learn more. Once you have decided to purchase, click the “Get It!” button and you will be redirected to either your HOPA Single Sign-On (SSO) or the HOPA website to create your account. The product will be added directly to your shopping cart, allowing you to complete your purchase. Once you log back in to HOPA Learn, your purchased courses will appear on your dashboard.
Q: I have just purchased a course, but I don’t see it in my list of “In progress” courses. How do I get started?
A: For a purchased course to appear in your “In progress” tab, you will need to launch the course first by clicking on the title. You will then see it as an “ In progress” course.
Q: Once I start a post-test within a course, can I leave the test and resume it at a later time?
A: Yes. Post-tests are not timed, and the system will not auto-submit your attempt. Once you start a test, you can leave it and come back to it at any time , as long as the course and credit are still active. To resume a test, click back into the post-test and click the “Continue the last attempt” button. The test will pick up where you left off. When you are ready to submit, click the “Submit all and finish” button and you will be able to review your attempt. You are allowed only one attempt on all BCOP post-tests. For all general pharmacy education, you are allowed unlimited attempts on the post-test.
Q: I have just completed all of the course requirements for a course, but I don’t see it listed in my “Past” courses nor do I see credits for this course in my transcript. How do I make sure I am receiving credits for this course?
A: In order to receive credit for any course, you will need to complete ALL course requirements, then click on the desired c redit claim box to “claim” your credits. All BCOP courses offer BCOP and ACPE credits. If you would like both BCOP and ACPE credit for that course, you will need to “claim” both types of credit. Once you do this, the credits will appear in your HOPA Learn transcript. To complete courses that don’t offer credit, complete the last course activity (usually the c ourse evaluation) and the course will move to your list of “Past” courses.
Getting Credits and Certificates for a Course
Q: How long after I complete a course will my ACPE credits appear in my CPE monitor account?
A: As long as you have clicked on the ACPE credit claim box on the “Claim Credits and Certificate” page in each course, the credits will appear on your course certificate and should automatically transfer to CPE Monitor by Friday of that week.
Q: How long after I complete a course will my BCOP credits appear in my BPS account?
A: As long as you have clicked on the BCOP credit claim box on the “Claim Credits and Certificate” page in each course, the credits will appear on your course certificate and if the credit was submitted prior to Thursday morning, it will transfer to your BPS account by the following Monday. If it is submitted on Thursday-Sunday it will transfer to your BPS account a week from that Monday.
Q: I have completed a BCOP course, but I didn’t pass the post-test. Can I still claim BCOP credit?
A: Unfortunately, if you do not pass the post-test with a 75% in any BCOP course, you will not be able to claim BCOP credit. However, you may still claim ACPE credit. Following the course end date, all BCOP post-tests will be evaluated for learner performance. This evaluation looks at overall test performance, individual question performance, participant feedback , and how well the questions were worded and answerable from the materials provided. If it is determined that one or more of the questions performed poorly, it is possible that your test score may be adjusted, which may result in credit awarded to you. If this occurs, you will be notified by email by HOPA Education staff.
Q: How do I access my course certificates?
A: Once you have completed a course and checked the credit claim box, the course certificate will become available. You may then download and print a PDF version. If you are enrolled in a bundled product, you may also download a PDF of the certificate for all of the courses completed within that bundle. Certificates are also available for download from within your t ranscript.
Q: I need a record of all of my completed CE on HOPA Learn including course titles, date of completion, and credit amount. How do I access this?
A: Go to the transcript link to view a list of all courses completed and total credits earned. To download an Excel or PDF version of this list, click on the more options icon (the three black vertical dots to the far right of your name). You will then see an option to export in an Excel, CSV, or PDF format. HOPA recommends that you export as a PDF so that you can easily download and print a user-friendly record of your CE.
Compatibility and System Requirements
Q: Can I complete a course from a mobile device, such as a phone or tablet?
A: Yes! HOPA Learn is mobile-responsive. This means that the screen size and layout will adjust to a smaller screen and will be legible. All pre- and post-tests, as well as embedded Vimeo videos, will also be accessible on a mobile device.
